Many of us have a vinyl or cassette collection that became invaluable since many of these recordings were not released in CD format. Thus, a program to convert these recordings into digital format will be very useful. Golden Records Analog to CD/MP3 Converter allows you to transform your vinyl and cassette recordings into digital files.
The program has a wizard that will guide you through the entire process. First, you need to tell the program if your source recording is a cassette or a vinyl record. Then, you will need to adjust several parameters according to your choice. For example, if the source is a vinyl record, you need to specify if it is a 33 1/3 a 45 or 78 RPM disc played at a normal speed, or if it is a 45 or 78 RPM played at 45 RPM. Then, you will need to adjust the volume level and the input and output sound devices. Finally, you can start recording from your source record. You can choose to save the resulting file into MP3 or WAV formats.
Please note that you will need to have a cassette or vinyl record player connected to your computer so you can transfer the recordings onto your hard drive using the program.
The shareware version only allows you to burn the first two recordings of your session. To get rid of this limitation, you will need to purchase a license.
